Your First 90 Days
FIRST 90

Don't build
everything.
Build consistency.

Your first three months are not about creating the perfect student ministry. They're about gathering a few students, showing up consistently and helping them take simple steps toward Jesus.

Your goal is simple:

Gather consistently. Follow the lessons. Build trust. Let discipleship grow from there.

First Things First

You do not need a complete ministry plan.

For the first 90 days, focus on one small group, one consistent gathering and one lesson at a time. THE FEW will give you the material. Your job is to keep showing up.

The First 90

Three simple phases.

You don't have to master all three at once. Just focus on the phase you're in.

Weeks 01-04

Get comfortable leading.

Learn the rhythm of opening a lesson, asking questions, listening to students and praying together.

Focus on: showing up consistently.
Weeks 05-08

Build trust.

Begin learning your students' stories. Notice what they ask, where they struggle and what helps them engage Scripture.

Focus on: relationships over performance.
Weeks 09-12

Help them take ownership.

Encourage students to pray, read Scripture, answer questions and begin taking responsibility for their own growth.

Focus on: participation, not spectatorship.
Every Week

Keep the rhythm predictable.

Students don't need something completely different every week. A simple rhythm creates safety and helps everyone know what to expect.

01

Prepare.

Read the lesson before students arrive. Know the Scripture and the main idea.

02

Gather.

Get comfortable. Sit together. Make the room feel conversational.

03

Talk.

Read Scripture. Ask the questions. Let students answer honestly.

04

Pray.

Finish by praying together and giving students one clear step to take.

05

Come back.

The power of THE FEW isn't one great night. It's consistent discipleship over time.

Keep It Simple

Don't add pressure that isn't there.

You are building discipleship, not producing a weekly event.

You don't need a stage. A living room, classroom or table works.
You don't need a sermon. The lesson is built for conversation.
You don't need a big crowd. A few students is enough to begin.
You don't need every answer. It's okay to learn alongside your students.
You don't need elaborate games. Relationships matter more than production.
You don't need to rush. Give trust and spiritual growth time to develop.
12
ROOTED

Your first 12 lessons are already mapped out.

ROOTED gives your first 90 days a clear path. You don't have to decide what to teach next. Start at Lesson 01 and move forward one week at a time.

That's Enough To Start

Don't spend three months preparing to begin.

Read ROOTED 01. Gather a few students. Have the conversation. Then come back next week and do it again.
